A new service to improve the homes of people who can’t afford the energy they need to stay healthy.
Developed for people with chronic health conditions that are made worse by living in cold homes, to reduce harmful health complications and relieve pressure on the NHS.
We are not taking new referrals at the moment.
We are using the warmer months to develop new ways in which eligible people can be supported for the long-term through free or subsidised changes to their home and heating system.
This service helped over 800 households with credit payments to energy accounts during winter 2022/23. It will continue to explore how best to support people with certain chronic health conditions to stay warm and well at home in the future.
